Miss Jerisha is the visionary Founder and Director of Jewel Dance Academy, where she brings her deep-rooted passion for dance, empowerment, and community to life. A proud graduate of Alabama State University, she earned her degree in Theater Arts with a concentration in Dance. Her classical and professional training spans ballet, jazz, modern-contemporary, and acrobatics, making her a well-rounded and dynamic artist and instructor.

From 2009 to 2012, Jerisha lit up the field as a distinguished member of the Alabama State Stingettes, later returning to assist the 2020 Official Stingettes with the same grace and leadership she is known for today. Her professional dance career reached new heights when she served as a 5-year NFL Cheerleader for the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders—and earned the title of Captain in 2023, showcasing her enduring excellence, influence, and leadership in the professional dance world.

In 2020–2021, Jerisha was crowned Miss Georgia for America, representing the state of Georgia with elegance and purpose. That same year, she received a formal proclamation honoring her dedication to community service, youth empowerment, and the performing arts.

Currently, Jerisha serves as a Program Coordinator for the Department of Recreation & Cultural Arts in College Park, Georgia. She leads with compassion and commitment, designing inclusive programs that celebrate diversity and promote personal growth, wellness, and creativity. She is passionate about working with individuals of all cultures and backgrounds, always striving to uplift, inspire, and connect.

At the heart of her mission is her love for youth development. Jerisha is deeply devoted to helping young people build confidence, discipline, and self-esteem through dance and artistic expression. Her most cherished accomplishments are her students—her Shining Jewels—who continue to shine brightly under her mentorship.
